Brussels: Arthur D. Little's newly independent global partnership has put its faith in the man who negotiated their management buyout from Altran (news), naming Ignacio Garcia Alves as new Chief Executive Officer.
Alves has been running ADL Benelux since 2008 and has been a member of the firm's global operating committee since 2007. He joined Arthur D. Little in 1992 as a Business Analyst and become partner in 1998. From 1998 to 2002 he headed the TIME (Telecom, Information, Media and Electronics) Practice in France and was the Managing Director of Arthur D. Little in France between 2002 and 2007.
ADL says his professional focus is strategy formulation and strategic transformation for high tech companies and network industries in fast moving or uncertain environments.
Ignacio Garcia Alves has a true international and multi-cultural profile; he was born in Spain, lived in the Netherlands for 23 years, spent a year in the UK and 17 years in France, and has been in Belgium since 2008. He speaks 5 languages (Spanish, Dutch, French, English, and German) fluently.
He has both an engineering degree (Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering cum laude from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands) and a business degree (European Master's in Management cum laude from ESCP Europe in Oxford, Madrid and Paris).
