Gaskell to chair UK's EFAB

London: Ernst & Young's head of diversity has been appointed as the new chair of the UK's Employers' Forum on Age and Belief (EFAB).

Harry Gaskell, who will also continue to lead Ernst & Young's 1000 strong advisory practice in the UK and Ireland, takes up his role with the EFAB with immediate effect.

The EFAB was formed in 2005 to provide employers with an independent network to help share best practice and support a diverse workforce. The forum has a membership that covers leading public and private sector organisations. Later this month, the Forum's remit is being extended to cover all aspects of diversity, under the new name of the Employers' Network on Equality and Inclusion (ENEI).

Speaking about his appointment, Harry Gaskell said: "I am delighted to be joining the EFAB as Chair at a time of significant change and look forward to helping us become the leading workplace diversity organisation in the UK.

"Creating a diverse and inclusive workforce should be a business imperative for any company and, through the collective muscle of the ENEI, we hope to bring about real change and ensure that diversity remains firmly on the business agenda."
