Bonn: German strategy and marketing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has again expanded its global footprint, opening offices in São Paulo and Santiago de Chile.
The firms says that for the first time it will be able to serve the Latin American market, and a substantial existing client base in the region, from local hubs.
"Opening offices in Brazil and Chile, two of the strongest markets in Latin America, is a logical step for our forward-thinking globalization strategy," said Dr. Georg Tacke, Co-CEO of Simon-Kucher.
"The economies in the region have a high demand for consulting services — regardless of the industry," added Dr. Klaus Hilleke, Co-CEO. "The new offices will serve as perfect hubs for driving our business on the whole Latin American continent."
Simon-Kucher now operates with 690 associates in 27 offices in 22 countries, with over half its staff based outside Germany. The firm's global expansion is underpinned by a strong financial performance in the first half of the year; revenues were EUR 72.5 million and orders EUR 84 million.
New business opportunities in Latin America
Simon-Kucher says it hopes to benefit from the positive economic development and high growth potential of the Latin American market.
"Our consulting services are already highly demanded in the region. In recent years we've conducted over 180 projects for more than 60 companies," said Manuel Osorio, Managing Partner of both new offices.
"With our new permanent presences in Brazil and Chile we are now able to support our clients on-site with our service portfolio of strategy, marketing, pricing and sales consulting. Thus, we assure maximum efficiency and optimal closeness to our customers in one sweep."
Until now Osorio has been managing Simon-Kucher's Latin American businesses from Miami.
In the medium term Simon-Kucher plans to complement its current Latin American team with 40 consultants and to generate EUR 10 to 15 million of additional revenue annually.
