Scott McDonald to lead Oliver Wyman

New York: A London-based Canadian, Scott McDonald, has been named President of Oliver Wyman, Marsh & McLennan's management consulting firm.

In this new role, McDonald, 45, will take on overall leadership for all of Oliver Wyman's management consulting activities, and will report to John Drzik, the CEO of Oliver Wyman Group and a member of the Marsh & McLennan Companies Executive Committee.

Oliver Wyman Group includes economics consultancy NERA and brand strategist Lippincott as well as Oliver Wyman.

McDonald joined Oliver Wyman in 1995 and has been the Managing Partner of Oliver Wyman's global Financial Services practice since 2007.

"Scott will be a great President for Oliver Wyman," says John Drzik.

"He is a valued and trusted adviser to senior executives and government leaders across the world, has successfully led our Financial Services practice through a very turbulent period, and has been working with me to shape the overall future direction for Oliver Wyman. I look forward to working with him in his new role."

McDonald has degrees in Finance and Economics from McGill University and in International Relations from Cambridge University.

At Oliver Wyman, he was the leader of the Corporate and Institutional Banking practice (within the Financial Services practice) before he was elected Managing Partner of Financial Services.
McDonald is a dedicated runner and has completed three London marathons.

McDonald grew up in Canada, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Dubai, and holds Canadian citizenship. He now lives in London with his wife and daughter.
