London: PA Consulting Group has boosted its HR strategy offering with the acquisition of a specialist talent management consulting team from Jackson Samuel.

Jackson Samuel co-founder Lesley Uren and a team of consultants from the consulting and executive search firm will join PA's people and operations practice in September.

PA says Uren's team has a wealth of experience in talent management and will complement PA's existing consulting services and expertise in organisation strategy and transformation.

Jackson Samuel was established in 2004 and works with clients from the public and private sectors including Anglo American, the NHS and Barclays UK Retail Banking. The team focuses on talent strategy, definition and development as well as career management and building internal talent management capability.

Uren has led a wide range of talent strategy and talent development projects in sectors including financial services, retail, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, media, utilities and the public sector.

She is the author of highly regarded research reports, including 2011's "What Talent Wants: The journey to talent segmentation". Prior to Jackson Samuel, Lesley was a senior consultant and practice leader for global professional services firm Towers Watson where she specialised in human resources strategy, talent management, and mergers and acquisitions.

Jonathon Hogg, head of PA's people and operations excellence practice, said, "We are very pleased that the talent team from Jackson Samuel is joining PA. We are committed to helping organisations achieve competitive advantage from their people strategies and this will help us to continue to support our clients and their talented individuals."

Lesley Uren commented, "This is an exciting move. The combination of PA's expertise in organisation strategy and transformation, combined with our experience in talent management, will mean that together we are able to offer our clients real insight to their people strategies."

Jackson Samuel's talent team will formally become part of PA Consulting Group on 3 September 2012. Jackson Samuel executive search will continue independently.
