Government will impose import controls on EU goods in 2021

Now Michael Gove, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Brexit troubleshooter, and after years of blank denial from the Prime Minister down, has confirmed that the UK will impose import controls from the end of the transition period in 2021 — with all of the disruption, cost and red tape that implies.

With 0% growth in GDP in the last quarter of 2019 (ONS), and the daily drip feed of Brexit "uncertainty" casualties (Norton Motorcycle Company anyone?) reality is dawning too late. Perhaps we should have been warned.
