I'd like to think that award of an Ashes Test Match to Cardiff's SWALEC ground in 2015 will have brought a smile to the craggy countenance of one Paul Russell.
Russell, larger-than-life UK partner at Accenture throughout its heady growth years, left the firm in 2003 to fulfil a boy-hood dream, taking over the reins at Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
He transformed Glamorgan's commercial fortunes, and the fine new stadium he built was the first ground outside England and Australia to host an Ashes test in 2008.
Paul Russell stood down as Glamorgan chairman in July due to ill health. If ever there was an incentive to get better, he has one now.
