New York: Michael Lierow has joined Oliver Wyman as a Partner in its Surface Transportation consulting practice, with a special focus on sustainability issues that cut across industrial sectors. He is based in Munich.
His role at Oliver Wyman will focus on helping multinational clients create strategies for economic growth with environmental awareness.
His consulting work will encompass two connected areas:
- Value creation through sustainability, including the application of innovative clean tech solutions and the development of sustainable business models
- Operational optimization of corporate strategies for transportation, logistics, supply chains, and Distribution

Lierow joins Oliver Wyman from the Munich office of McKinsey & Company, where he consulted for ten years. He studied business and economics at the Otto-Beisheim Graduate School of
Management (WHU) in Germany, France, and Australia, and he holds a PhD and an MBA.
