Accenture buys Procurian

New York: Accenture has agreed to acquire Procurian, a US-based provider of procurement business process solutions, for $375 million in cash. The firms says the acquisition will enhance Accenture's capabilities in procurement BPO across a range of industries including consumer goods, high-tech and financial services and will add key analytics capabilities and technologies. Procurian has delivery locations in the US, India, UK, the Czech Republic, China and Brazil, and its 780 employees are expected to join Accenture when the transaction closes at the end of 2013.
