IT consultants sweep up awards.

Manchester: It is not just the award season for the global film and music industries — the world's biggest IT consulting firms have gathered a raft of accolades in recent days too.

Accenture has received three Partner Impact awards from SAP including: SAP Services Partner of the Year, Mobility, North America; SAP Services Partner of the Year, Custom Development, North America; and Business Analytics Partner of the Year for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) regions.

"These awards exemplify Accenture's commitment to helping clients adopt and extend SAP technologies to drive business change and achieve business goals," said Mark Willford, global managing director of Accenture's SAP business.

Nominations for all three awards were based on internal SAP sales data. A steering committee composed of regional and global SAP representatives determined winning partners in each category according to numerous criteria such as sales achievement and performance.

Capgemini has been placed in the leaders' quadrant for Oracle Application Service Providers, Europe, in the latest "Magic Quadrant for Oracle Application Service Providers, Europe", from Gartner, Inc.

Capgemini's position is based on "ability to execute" and "completeness of vision."

Connie Cservenyak, Oracle Partner Executive for Capgemini, said: "We are proud to be recognized as a leaderin Oracle Application services in Europe. We believe it is testament to the hard work of our teams and ourinnovative solutions. Capgemini continues to be at the forefront of Oracle's ever-growing technology portfolio, working in collaboration to help clients unleash their potential."

Meanwhile the Greater Paris Investment Agency (GPIA) has conferred on Tata Consultancy Services, TCS, the "Prix spécial de l'innovation de Paris-Ile de France Capitale Economique 2011" (Special Innovation Prize 2011 of Paris, the economic capital of the Ile-De France region).

Valérie Pécresse, The Republic of France's cabinet minister for Budget, Public Accounts and State Reform, presented the award at an exclusive ceremony on February 9, 2012 along with Daniel Canepa, Prefect of the Ile-de-France region, and in the presence of HE Rakesh Sood, Ambassador of India to France.

Chiara Corazza, Managing Director of the Greater Paris Investment Agency, said, "Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Communications are prime examples of global businesses that have embraced the growth opportunities offered by Greater Paris. The region has a total GDP of €585 billion and a highly diversified economy with strongholds in aeronautics, automobile and IT industries, so we're confident that Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Communications will continue to reap the benefits of investing in the region, and that many more global businesses will follow their lead."

Infosys Limited has been awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) India 'Platinum' rating by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for its Software Development Block 5 (SDB 5) in Mysore. This is the third Infosys building that has won a Platinum rating, taking the total Platinum certified building area at Infosys to 780,000 sq ft. LEED-India Green Building Rating System is a nationally and internationally accepted benchmark for design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

Completed in March, 2011, the building is located in the Infosys Limited Special Economic Zone, Mysore. SDB 5 has been built keeping in mind a holistic approach to sustainability in five key areas, including — Sustainable site development, Water savings, Energy efficiency, Materials selection and Indoor environmental quality.
