Infosys completes Lodestone acquisition to build SAP presence

Bangalore: Infosys, the Indian consulting and technology group, has completed the acquisition of Lodestone Holding AG, a management consultancy based in Switzerland.

Infosys has paid an "aggregate enterprise value" of CHF 330 million in cash for the Zurich-based consulting firm and global SAP software expert.

Infosys says the deal strengthens its management consulting capabilities around the world, adding more than 750 experienced consultants and 200 clients in wide-ranging areas such as manufacturing and the automotive and life sciences industries.

"Combining our global scale with Lodestone's consulting heritage creates a world-class team that can bring clients a broad spectrum of capabilities across consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing."

Following the acquisition, Infosys's consulting practice focusing on SAP programs will deliver revenues of more than $1 billion.

Infosys Consulting & Systems Integration business has some 30,000 consultants across 10 industry verticals and accounts for around 31% of the company's revenue. The Lodestone acquisition will significantly enhance its global presence, particularly in continental Europe and emerging markets like Latin America and Asia Pacific.
