Horvath & Partners ramps up its Academy in partnership with EBS

Stuttgart: Former Horváth partner and current head of the Strascheg Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIIE) at the EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, Prof. Dr. Ronald Gleich, will take up the reins at the Horváth Academy, the professional training arm of the Horváth & Partners Group, from January 1, 2013.

The German consulting firm says that this continuing education partnership with the EBS University will allow its Academy to expand its training portfolio considerably.

On April 1, 2013, the Horváth Academy will become an independent limited company of the Horváth & Partners Group. The "Controlling Security, Innovation & Entrepreneurship GmbH" (CSIE), previously managed solely by Professor Ronald Gleich, will become legally affiliated to the Horváth Akademie GmbH. The Horváth Academy will now have locations in both Stuttgart and Oestrich-Winkel. Professor Gleich will be the sole managing director and alongside Horváth & Partner GmbH the second partner of the new Horváth Akademie GmbH.

The Horváth Academy offers continuing education programs for specialists and managers, focusing in particular on topics spanning corporate performance management and performance optimization. The portfolio includes seminars, congresses, conferences, certificate programs and customized corporate programs.

"In collaboration with the experienced continuing education expert Professor Ronald Gleich we aim to generate new growth, above all in the area of certificate and custom programs with a university qualification", commented Dr. Uwe Michel, the Member of the Managing Board at Horváth responsible for professional training. A typical approach, for example, is the Horváth Summer Academy, where young managers build up skills and capabilities in the fields of controlling, process management and strategic management.

The most important cooperation partner will be EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, where Professor Gleich has already been developing and implementing executive education programs for many years.

Before joining EBS, Prof. Gleich was a research assistant and professorial candidate at the University of Stuttgart from 1991 to 1998. In 1999 he went on to join Horváth & Partners Management Consultants as a consultant and was a Partner from 2002 to 2005. The collaboration between the two partnering organizations has already produced successful programs such as the "Horváth Controller Program", a certificate program that has been running for 20 years and has culminated in a university degree for the last three years.

Commenting Professor Ronald Gleich said, "It is exactly this booming field that I aim to expand in future, for instance with new concepts for controlling workshops in cooperation with the restructured Academy. I look forward to this opportunity to bring together two strong partners in the field of continuing professional education and support them with my long years of experience in executive education."
