Athens: Seventy members of a new generation of business leaders will gather in Athens today for the 6th annual International Student Business Forum (ISBF), an international career and leadership development program for top talented university students from around the world, sponsored by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL).
ISBF gathers high-potential students who are one to two years away from graduating to work in cross-cultural teams--under the guidance of Deloitte member firm professionals--on realistic business challenges in order to hone critical professional skills: cross-cultural teamwork, effective communication, leadership, and building and maintaining global networks.
'DTTL is pleased to be able to provide today's top university talent with a unique global learning and networking opportunity designed to help them succeed in their future careers,' said Margot Thom, DTTL Global Managing Director, Talent. 'At a time when businesses around the world are facing a critical talent shortage, ISBF provides these high-performing students with an experience that will help them take the first step in their journey toward becoming the next generation of global leaders.'
This year's ISBF participants--selected from more than 4,500 applications--hail from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, the Ukraine, and the United States.
