Capco launches Architecture as a Service to financial sector in US

Capco

New York: Capco, the global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, has launched the firm's Architecture as a Service Offering (AaaS).

AaaS offers clients, initially in North America, an alternative to hiring full-time architects on staff or having consultants on site full time.

Capco says the new initiative offers its customers access to a deep pool of talented architects on a project-by-project basis, allowing for specialized service across multiple technology disciplines.

"With technology architects in high-demand and short supply, the cost of keeping architects permanently on staff is an expensive proposition, especially as they are often not needed on a full-time basis," said Scott Claus, partner at Capco and leader of the Technology group in North America.

"Through Capco Architecture as a Service, our professionals can not only support our clients' development needs, but also provide a fresh viewpoint that can help unravel the complexities inherent in today's IT services, all on-demand to suit specific project necessities and cost guidelines."

For organizations not requiring a lengthy fixed-time contract, Capco AaaS enables CIOs, CTOs and their offices to purchase blocks of an architect's time as needed, contributing to a project's success while keeping costs in line with business objectives.

This approach provides access as needed to Capco's broad pool of experts, who, the firm says, possess a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing the financial services industry and have significant experience working in today's complex IT environment.

"All of Capco's architects come from professions within the financial services sector and as such are well suited to work with those in the industry facing ever-changing and complex IT issues," said Matt Markham, Managing Principal at Capco and Leader of the Architecture competency in the U.S.

As each of our architects is well-versed in a particular discipline, Architecture as a Service allows organizations to leverage Capco's architecture talent on complex projects that require diverse skills in fractional amounts. Capco AaaS is another way that clients can engage and utilize the expertise of our professionals, and we are thrilled to have a new, unique means to offer Capco services to our partners."

As part of the service, clients have access to highly-qualified and experienced architects specializing in applications, data and infrastructure, as well as business process management and service-oriented architecture. Capco architects provide support across multiple disciplines including governance, implementation, architecture and integration.
