London: Baringa Partners, the specialist management consultancy operating in the energy and financial markets, has been placed first globally in Energy Risk's Annual Risk Software Rankings 2013 for 'Best for project delivery within budget'.

Baringa was also placed first in Europe in both 'Best for project delivery on time' and 'Best advisor/implementation specialist' within the same implementation specialists category.

The prestigious Energy Risk rankings are based entirely on an industry vote. This year, 238 voting forms were submitted by utility and power generation firms, power and supply trading companies, banks, brokers, end users, traders and consultants worldwide.

Dan Look, Partner at Baringa Partners said, "It is always gratifying to receive this sort of recognition, because it is based on the opinions of our clients and people within the industry. Europe's largest companies continue to turn to us to deliver their business-critical projects, because they know our in-depth industry knowledge, practical expertise and the high calibre of our consultants is a potent force when it comes to delivering on time and within budget.

"We will continue to adapt and evolve our offering in line with the market's changing needs to ensure we build on this position," Look continued. "To that end, we have made a number of key appointments this year, and are in the process of revising our target operating model to ensure that our dual strength in capital markets and commodities is being capitalised on for all clients as the regulatory environments of the two industries continue to converge."

This award comes on the back of a successful year for Baringa Partners, which saw it named as Energy Risk's Consultancy Firm of the Year for 2012. The firm also won the 2012 Commodity Business Award for Market Policy and Advisory. At a corporate level, Baringa was placed top in the UK's Great Place to Work Institute Rankings for an unprecedented third year, and received the accolade of Croner Employer of the Year during the 2012 National Business Awards in partnership with Orange.
